Updated: Dec 17, 2022

Children have a natural interest and attraction to crystals. They are keenly drawn to their energies and their combination of beauty, shape, color and texture. Children are receptive, curious and spiritual by nature, so they gravitate towards crystals and love to inspect, hold and play with them.

There are many types of crystals that are suitable for children. However, "tumbled crystals" are a wonderful way to introduce crystals to kids because they are smoothly polished and rounded, normally do not have sharp edges, and are easily held or carried.

Ways to Use Crystals for Children

There are a number of different ways kids can use crystals. Here are some ideas when it comes to crystals for kids:

  1. Carry a tumbled crystal in their pocket.

  2. Place their crystal or crystals inside a pouch, which can then be placed in their pocket, or placed in their backpack.

  3. Keep the crystal underneath the pillow or on their nightstand to help them sleep.

  4. For older children, wear as crystal jewelry, such as a necklace.

  5. To cultivate artistic expression, help your child create a dreamcatcher with crystal beads strung together.

  6. Use the opportunity as a family bonding activity and together, build a crystal grid.

  7. To develop the concept of responsibility, show your child how to cleanse and care for their crystals.
